The Rolling Stones Music Pack was one of the most technically challenging and interesting environments I worked on.
As with previous Music Packs, I was responsible for the project end-to-end — from translating the original concept into a functional VR prototype, through full production of assets, materials, and textures, to procedural layout development in SideFX Houdini, followed by optimization and final release across all platforms including Meta Quest, Steam/PC, and PlayStation.
A defining feature of this environment was the ability for structural elements to dynamically explode during gameplay, as seen in screenshots and gameplay footage. Achieving this required a fundamentally different approach to environment layout and asset preparation. My experience with Houdini was instrumental in designing a system that supported controlled destruction while remaining performant within real-time VR constraints.
As always, I worked in close collaboration with level designers to define optimal control over environmental elements and custom technical setups, ensuring that gameplay-driven moments remained expressive, stable, and production-ready.
