My role on the Daft Punk Music Pack was to build the initial VR prototype based on the approved concept and lead the environment through full development to release on Meta Quest, Steam/PC, and PlayStation VR.
During production, I worked closely with the 3D art department to develop and integrate the iconic helmets, ensuring they functioned both visually and technically within real-time constraints. In parallel, I collaborated with level designers to define control systems for all interactive elements and to properly structure a large triangular screen surface that allowed them to drive complex animated visual effects during gameplay.
This was also the first environment where we introduced real-time text rendering as part of the visual language — displayed on helmet visors — alongside dynamic spectrogram systems. Implementing these features required careful technical planning to maintain performance while expanding the expressive range of the concert experience.
